The LiveAquaria® CCGC Aquacultured Coral Frag 3 Pack, Neon Edition (Various sp.), offers hobbyists a way to enhance their reef aquarium with a collection of premium coral frag specimens. Adding visual interest and beauty to your home aquarium in shades of neon blues and greens, they have a moderate care level. All three of these LPS corals benefit from moderate to high lighting and a medium waterflow.

Live corals are important contributors to the structure of a saltwater reef in nature as well as in reef aquariums. Our Certified Captive Grown Corals are grown by our dedicated Wisconsin staff at our own LiveAquaria® facility. We are committed to providing healthy and attractive alternatives to wild caught specimens, so as not to contribute to the world’s declining coral reefs. Aquacultured corals are also acclimated to home aquariums.

For continued good health, these corals will require the addition of supplemental calcium, strontium, and other trace elements to the water. Recommended water parameters are a temperature between 72°-78° F, calcium harness 8-12 dKH, pH levels between 8.1-8.4, and a salinity range of sg 1.022-1.025.

Included in this premium 3-pack are:

Double Head Giant Green Polyp Duncan Coral
Previously uncommon to the United States, this beautiful coral specimen is now captive-grown in our Coral Farm &; Aquatic Life Facility. Colonies form via long, tubular corallites with stunning neon green oral discs and vibrant purple tentacles.

The brood stock for these frags were acquired from a few of the first imports of Australian corals shipped to the United Sates. In the home aquarium, they form a continuous mat of tentacles that conceal the overall shape of the underlying colony. This coral does well with non-aggressive corals and invertebrates, provided it has ample room to grow.

Though they feed through photosynthesis via the symbiotic algae zooxanthellae that thrive on the colony, this coral also benefits from regular target feedings of meaty marine foods such as enriched Mysis and brine shrimp.

The LiveAquaria® CCGC Aquacultured Giant Green Polyp Duncan Coral is mounted on a small ceramic plug that can be placed easily and securely in or between the rockwork in the reef aquarium.

Neon Green Caulastrea
The LiveAquaria® Aquacultured Caulastrea Coral is a Large Polyp Stony (LPS) coral and is often referred to as Bullseye, Candy, or Trumpet Coral. Available in different colors, this variety is neon green. When placing in the home aquarium, hobbyists should allow extra room for future growth.

Satisfying the majority of their nutritional requirements by means of photosynthetic, symbiotic zooxanthellae algae hosted within their bodies, these corals will also benefit from occasional broadcast feeding in the form of micro-plankton.

Bicolor Hammer Coral
The LiveAquaria® Bicolor Hammer Coral is one of the industry’s most popular aquarium corals due to their branching shape, their movement, and their vibrant blue and neon green hammer-shaped tentacles. Extra care should be taken to avoid damaging its fragile tentacles. The Bicolor Hammer Coral will continue to be a focal point in a reef aquarium as they grow larger and colonize.

Satisfying the majority of their nutritional requirements by means of photosynthetic, symbiotic zooxanthellae algae hosted within their bodies, these corals will also benefit from occasional broadcast feeding in the form of micro-plankton or foods designed for corals.

Hobbyists who use our LiveAquaria® Professional Reef Salt have the added benefit knowing marine species shipped from our Wisconsin Facility share the same water parameters and will acclimate and transition to your home aquarium with less stress to set the foundation for longer term success.
